Tau vs. Tyranids Capture and Control - Turn 4

Fire
Warrior Team 1, right at the edge of the battlefield, regrouped and rejoined
the fight. The three survivors of
Fire Warrior Team 3 moved to charge the Hormagaunts and Termagants, thereby
supporting the last Crisis Suit. The
Devilfish retreated somewhat and disembarked its Fire Warriors, who took up
positions to shoot the Lictor, which they promptly did, wounding it.
A follow up shot by the Devilfish’s Burst Cannon finished it off. The
Stealth Suits continued to pour fire into the Hive Tyrant and its one
surviving Tyrant Guard, but failed to do any damage.
The
Shas’el and Crisis Suits fired on the Deathspitter Warriors, killing the one
with the Venom Cannon and wounding one other.
Fire Warrior Team 2 took aim on the unit of termagants, who were taking
cover by some rocks, and killed a pair. Fire
Warrior Team 1 ran to get a better position.
In the
assault, Fire Warrior Team 3 charged the Hormagaunts, but the fight did not go
well. The Hormagaunts killed two
of the three Fire Warriors, while the Termagants did nothing.
The last Fire Warrior took down one of the Hormagaunts, while the
Crisis Suit did nothing at all. The
two Tau turned to flee, and while the Crisis Suit escaped, the Fire Warrior
was run down and killed.

On the Tyranid left, the Hive Tyrant killed another Gun Drone with its Venom Cannon, continuing the grinding war of attrition. One of the biovores dropped a mine among the Stealth Team, destroying three more Gun Drones.
The
Tyranid right flank converged on the Tau objective.
The Termagants and one of the Carnifexes fired on Fire Warrior Team 2,
killing two, softening them up for the charge.
The other Carnifex missed Fire Warrior Team 1.
Then the Deathspitter Warriors and one of the Biovores opened fire on
Team 1, scoring some direct hits. A
deathspitter shot and killed a pair, and then a bio-acid spore mine landed among
the five Tau that were left and exploded, wiping them out in a gory mess.
The termagants and hormagaunts charged Fire Warrior Team 2, and while the Hormagaunts killed a single Fire Warrior, the valiant Tau killed one of the Hormagaunts in return, leaving the fight a draw.
